Kerrick Jackson

A true baseball professional with 22 years of experience across all levels of the game, including coaching in the Big 12 and SEC, Midwest Area Scouting Supervisor for the Washington Nationals, and MLB Agent with the Boras Corporation.

In 2021 Kerrick Jackson served as the President of the MLB Draft League, in its inaugural season. The League experienced outstanding success in year one under Jackson’s direction as some 90+ players were drafted and or signed, At the same time providing a unique growth opportunity for all involved.

In his previous role Jackson served as the Head Coach of the Southern University Jaguars. During his tenure at the helm of the historic program, the Jaguars experienced rapid ascent to being considered of the nation’s better programs.

Although the Jaguars didn’t see the success on the field in Jackson’s first season at the helm, the team did earn recognition for having highest men’s team GPA in the athletic department. While also receiving national recognition for the team’s community service efforts.

In their second season under Jackson’s leadership, The Jaguars ended the 2019 season as SWAC Western Division Champions, as well as Conference Tournament Champions, earning a bid to the NCAA Starkville Regional Tournament. As a result of the Jaguars success on the field, Coach Jackson was chosen as SWAC Coach of the Year, as well as LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writers Association) Coach of the Year.
